Summit Judo Club is a member of the British Judo Association.

They are the main National Governing body for Judo in the UK and responsible for providing support and maintaining standards within the member clubs.

The Coaches are all qualified as coaches by the BJA and attend revalidation events run by the BJA to maintain these qualifications.

Players that wish to Grade or enter competitions must become a member of the BJA and purchase a licence from them. This licence also provides insurance for training and competing.

Membership includes many other perks such as Electronic Sylabus Books for the children.
